SECTOR

Education

The school has ten boarding houses and provides an excellent academic education, outstanding pastoral care and an enriching programme of sporting and cultural events within the context of Benedictine spirituality.

Open Control Solutions have worked closely with Ampleforth College over a number of years maintaining their existing Trend system with regular PPM visits and remote telephone support.

We have also undertaken upgrading existing buildings and provided an AM&T system utilising existing meters connected to the BEMS system. By adding additional Modbus meters the Estates Department have been able to create a competition between the 10 Boarding Houses to encourage the pupils to reduce the energy they use and be aware of their carbon footprint.

This ongoing working relationship has enabled us to understand the requirements of the College, provide cost effective services and help and advice on how the BEMS can be enhanced to maximise its energy saving potential.

Excellent service

“OCS has always provided Ampleforth Abbey & College with excellent service; they have met our requirements, been attentive to our needs and helped guide us in the development of our BMS, as we work to improve our building services infrastructure.”
